Abigail
Van Den Berg
Abigail Van Den Berg grew up in Sint Maarten, where her father, Edward, was a respected Dutch navigator known for his skills and vast knowledge of the Caribbean’s secret routes. He always avoided illegal trade, maintaining his reputation intact. Abigail deeply admired her father and dreamed of following in his footsteps one day, but she was still young and inexperienced in the dangerous world of piracy.
When Blackwall learned of Edward’s abilities, he attempted to recruit him for his crew, hoping to use his secret routes to expand his control over the Caribbean. When Edward refused, Blackwall ordered his assassination and ransacked his home, stealing many of his maps. Abigail, who managed to escape the attack, was devastated by the loss of her father and the theft of the maps, which could now be used for nefarious purposes.
Determined to avenge Edward’s death, Abigail decided to follow what she had learned, even without the necessary experience, to hunt down Blackwall. Driven by justice and the desire to reclaim her father’s maps, she embarked on a perilous journey, willing to face the infamous pirate and honor Edward’s legacy.
